How to decorate the Speakin’ Up! 30 second voice recorder.

  2. Cut a strip of blue checked paper to 2 ¾” x 3” tear at the top (shorter edge).
  3. Using your finger or stick make an indention where the “play” button is and then  punch it out with a standard ¼” hole punch.
  4. Attach the paper to the recorder using adhesive only on the bottom and sides.
  5. Stamp different images randomly over the paper and top of the recorder using blue, green, yellow & red ink.
  6. Ink the edges of the recorder yellow along with the edges of a small tag.
  7. Using a blue marker, outline some of the shapes (in our case the arrow) and write a title on the tag. Insert the tag into the pocket.
  8. Make the word “push” with a label maker and attach it under the play button.
  9. Attach a few buttons randomly.

Recording your message:

  1. Move the enable/disable switch to the “enable” position.
  2. Hold down the record button until it beeps.
  3. While holding down the record button, begin recording your message fro up to 30 seconds.
  4. Once the recorder is full or you have stopped recording, you will hear another beep.
  5. Press play on the front to check the recording
  6. Once the desired message is obtained, change the enable/disable switch to the “disable” position, this will prevent any accidental recordings.
  7. Attach the decorated Speakin’ Up! to your page or project. (in our case it was slid into a pocket).
